TERMS OF SERVICE

By accessing or using SHINOBU (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to any part of these terms, you must not use the Service. Your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any updated terms.

SHINOBU provides ephemeral, end-to-end encrypted messaging. Live Rooms and Left Messages (mailboxes) are created with a room code and an encryption key that exists only in your browser. Rooms expire automatically (Live Rooms after 12 hours, mailboxes after 7 days) or when destroyed by their creator. The operator cannot read message content — it is encrypted before leaving your device.

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.

You agree not to use the Service to transmit, share, or facilitate any content that:

• Is illegal under applicable law (including content involving minors, terrorism, or illicit goods)
• Harasses, threatens, or defames another person
• Contains spam, malware, or phishing
• Violates the rights of any third party

Reports of abuse can be submitted in-app and are reviewed by the operator.

The Service does not require an account, email, or phone number. You receive an anonymous identifier for technical operation only. This identifier is not linked to any real-world identity and cannot be used to identify you.

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. The operator does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that encryption will be immune to all attacks. You are responsible for protecting your own encryption keys.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of messages, loss of data, or loss of privacy due to your own handling of keys or links. The Service is provided free of charge, and liability is limited accordingly.

Rooms are ephemeral by design and expire automatically. The operator may suspend or remove any room, message, or user engaged in prohibited conduct without notice. You may stop using the Service at any time by leaving and destroying any room you created.

The operator may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above will reflect changes. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you may have under mandatory consumer protection law.
